Variety reportó la semana pasada que Schumer estaba en conversaciones para interpretar a Barbie y que como parte de la trama el personaje sería echado de Barbielandia por no ser lo suficientemente perfecto y se iría en una aventura por el mundo real.

La actriz de comedia publicó una foto de sí misma en traje de baño el martes en Instagram. Dijo que quienes intentaron hacerla sentir mal por su sobrepeso fracasaron porque sabe que no es gorda y que siente "cero vergüenza" en su piel.

Señaló además que la respuesta negativa solo ha puesto en evidencia que es una "opción maravillosa" para interpretar a "un ícono importante y en evolución".
