Le vendieron gato por liebre, o, mejor dicho, micro-cerdo por cerdo gigante. 

Probablemente, Steve Jekins y y Derek Walter, de Georgetown, Estados Unidos, jamás pensaron al momento de adoptar a "Esther", que el "animalito" que creyeron adoptar se convertiría en un animal de 670 libras. 

El par, al igual que muchos, quería adoptar a un micro-cerdo, famosa mascota entre los famosos. 

Sin embargo, de la misma forma en la que le ha pasado a otras personas que quieren adquirir animales exóticos, fueron engañados, según comentaron en la página de Facebook, Esther the Wonder Pig, creada el 4 de diciembre de 2013 y en la que publican las aventuras, ocurrencias y fotos de Esther. 

A pesar de su gran tamaño, sus padres "humanos" la describen como la "cerda más afortunada de la Tierra" y la "más hermosa". 

Pero no todo es chiste, pues el par, por medio de la cuenta en la red social exhorta a la ciudadanía a orientarse sobre los peligros de criar un puerquito. 

“No aconsejo a nadie a asumir un cerdo como Esther en sus hogares. Ante todo, estábamos engañados respecto a lo que Esther fue cuando nos la dieron. La gente necesita saber los riesgos potenciales que implica el cuidado de un cerdo”, alertó uno de sus cuidadores.
